#AAW2011 Social Media Scavenger Hunt

This scavenger hunt list was for the workshop I taught this afternoon at the 2011 American Agri-Women national convention in Wichita, KS. All attendees who fill out and return the scavenger hunt to me before the Sat. night banquet will get 1 free hour of work, and will be entered into a drawing for a package of Albany, OR made Thunderbeans!


  • Update your privacy setting to “Friends” or “Friends of Friends” in most sections
  • Unchcek all sections “How people bring your info to the apps they use.”
  • Turn off “Instant Personalization”
  • Optional: Turn off “Public Search”

  • Tag American Agri-Women and/or the Tech Chef in a post.

Find out the Twitter usernames of four other attendees that you don’t currently follow:





List seven hashtags that you could start using when you post:

  • Use the hashtag #Ivealwayswantedto in a post
  • Give a #FF shout-out to a couple of pages you’ve learned about during convention.

Foursquare: Check into the Hyatt Regency 400 W. Waterman St. Wichita, KS

If you check into a location in Kansas and then your next check in is out of the state it’s rumored that you’ll earn a “Not in Kansas Anymore” Badge.
