Setting Page Permissions for Fb Pages

You got your page set up and now you’re wondering what to do with it. You see a lot of other pages around that direct people to a flashy landing page instead of the “Wall Tab” and your wondering how to do that. The first thing you have to do is set up Static FMBL. You can see how to get started with Static FBML in my Cookbook.

After you’ve got a Static FBML Tab set up it’s easy to direct people to it instead of your Wall Tab.

Step 1

Go to your edit page. There are two ways to get there. First from your Fb Newsfeed, click on “Ads and Pages” on the left hand side.

This is useful if you have more than one page. It will bring you to a list of your pages. From this page you choose edit page. You can also view your insights, and manage your ads from this page.

You can also go directly to your page.  Underneath your pages profile picture you will see a link that says edit page.

Step 2

Under Wall Settings click edit.

This will open up a box that lets you make changes to your page settings. Change your “Default Landing Tab for Everyone Else” to your FMBL/Custom Tab.

You can also control how much information from others shows up or is allowed on your page. Make changes under “Default View for Wall” or “Permissions.” Your changes will automatically be saved.
